Choose Your Own Adventure


Do you remember graduating from toy trains and Simon Says into the world of Choose-Your-Own-Adventures? Sure, survival was always a 50/50 proposition, but that was part of their charm.

  • If you decide to peek into it to check on the quicksand, turn to page 37. If you decide to check out of the hotel, turn to page 100.

  • If you decide you can avoid it when climbing the mountainside in the rain, turn to page 5, then turn to page 37.

  • If you decide to change into your swimsuit and get into it, turn to page 37. If you decide to be blunt, turn to page 100.

  • If you remark that it's a beautiful shade for a crappy sedan, turn to page 4, then turn to page 37.

  • If you decide to board it even though the engines look extremely unreliable, turn to page 2, then turn to page 37.

  • If you enter that cage at the zoo to look at it, turn to page 37. If you decide to rethink your plan, turn to page 100.

  • If you go to the east side to drop in on it, turn to page 3, then turn to page 37.

Page 37: You have died. There must be some way to get through this without kissing your life goodbye, but this isn't it.

Page 100: Success! You have found one of the ways out. Good for you!
